Negotiations with Pakistan's International Monetary Fund (IMF)

delegation are ongoing in Islamabad, in which no significant progress has been made so far, however, according to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the IMF delegation is giving Pakistan a 'tough time'. Is.

In 2019, Pakistan signed an agreement to obtain a six billion dollar loan from the IMF and last year, after a round of negotiations, the loan amount was increased from six to seven billion dollars.

But due to reservations on certain economic reforms,

the installment of one billion dollar loan has been stalled for several months, for the restoration of which negotiations are being held between the IMF delegation and Pakistan, and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that the International Financial Institutions The delegation is certainly giving a 'tough time' to the Pakistani Finance Minister and his team.

He also said that the economic challenges facing the country at the moment are unimaginable, but at the same time, the Prime Minister said that the conditions of the IMF must be fulfilled.

 This week,

the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics said that the inflation rate in the first month of this year was 27.6 percent, the highest rate in the last 20 years.

The value of the dollar against the rupee continues to rise and buying gold is beyond the reach of the common man. This is a situation that the people did not even imagine.

Now, if the IMF restores the loan installment to Pakistan, the storm of inflation may subside to some extent instead of increasing, otherwise the 'tough time' of the people is not going to end soon
