Most people see Delhi as their 'beloved',

but Asif Khan Dehlavi disagrees, calling the city his 'elder', an elder in whose shadow he weaves his stories.

Asif Khan Dehlavi grew up under the influence of the Sufi fakirs of Chirag-e-Delhi. He is a storyteller and storyteller, whose experience he has gained from the quiet experiences of life and which he passes on to others.

Like everyone else, his career started with a simple corporate job, but his heart longed for a deeper connection with people and places.

Due to this spirit, during 2011-12, Asif started narrating his stories to travelers and tourists under the name 'Delhi Caravan'.

Through this caravan,

Asif took the people and tourists on a beautiful journey of Delhi's wonderful heritage, culture, life of people and rulers.

Most people see Delhi as their 'beloved', but Asif disagrees with them, calling the city his 'grandfather'. An elder in whose shadow they weave their stories.

Delhi Caravan, an endless journey of stories, is his vision and he dreams of taking this caravan across the country.

For Asif, stories are his passion, destiny and certainly the last hope of mankind. Many of these stories stem from Delhi's rich heritage.

Asif himself calls Delhi a 'library of never-ending stories'. He is greatly influenced by the mystical influence of the Sufi fakirs of Chirag Delhi. They say that the title 'Dehlavi' in his name refers to the Sufi sage Nasiruddin Mahmood, who was popularly known as Chirag-e-Dehlavi, meaning 'the bright lamp of Delhi'.

He was named Chirag Dehlvi by his teacher Nizamuddin Auliya. Asif was nicknamed 'Dehlavi' by his fellow friends and tourists.

Asif believes that when he returns from a trip,

he comes back changed and with a bag full of stories. They say that traveling is not just about going to distant places but also about listening to the silence of your soul.

His journey is not limited to Delhi but Rajasthan and West Bengal are also included in it. The story of Dhola Maru is as dear to him as Heer Ranjha. He says 'If Delhi is elderly then Rajasthan is love'.
