BCCI has formed teams of five cities named after Bangalore, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Lucknow.

All ten IPL franchises tried to buy these teams. Apart from this, well-known business houses and some banks also submitted offers.

The most expensive women's league team was Ahmedabad, which was bought by India's richest conglomerate Adani Group for Rs 1289 crore.

Reliance Group's Mumbai Indians have acquired the Mumbai team for Rs 919 crore.

Royal Challengers Bangalore is not far behind and has bought Bangalore for 900 crores.
